Safety is our highest priority

The Health and Safety of our employees and others working with and around us is important to CESG. In this industry, safety and business viability go hand in hand. Job related injuries and illnesses can cause physical, mental, emotional, and economic suffering. We proactively strive to provide our employees and subcontractors with proper training, tools, preparation, and safety equipment to finish jobs safely and professionally. Furthermore, we are conscientious to alert other contractors and subcontractors as well as our clients of any worksite hazards or risks.

Highpoints:

CESG makes employee health and safety our highest priority. Below are some of our safety highlights:

  • Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Comply with and/or exceed all safety laws and regulations in our work structure and habits.
  • Publish a written safety manual that is reviewed and enforced regularly on the job site.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training classes with all personnel to ensure that they understand the risks and how to prevent accidents. This includes CPR and First Aid classes.
  • We have a full-time safety director and safety committee, consisting of employees from various levels.
  • Perform drug screens and background checks on all of our potential employees.
  • Employ a Jobsites Hazards Analysis Program and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Publish a weekly “Toolbox Tips” newsletter and ensure that managers go over it with the workforce.
  • 10-hour OSHA training and certification for all field and supervisory employees
  • IEC school for helpers and apprentices

Safety and Management Support:

Our managers at all levels, take responsibility for the safety and well-being of everyone on their jobsite. These managers, with the help of our Safety Director, work tirelessly to promote safe work practices and decisions at our jobsites. Additionally, management is committed to maintaining property and equipment so that they are always in their best and safest operating condition.

The Safety and Health Program is vigorously endorsed to prevent the occurrence of injuries and illnesses, and to avoid the suffering and economic loss associated with accidents.

Safety Performance:

Since our inception in 2004, CESG has not had a recordable accident or loss or a lost-time accident. This is a testament to our commitment to safety.
